Google Local Services Ads agencies in the UK compared (2026)

The 30-second answer: UK trades looking for a Google Local Services Ads agency have three kinds of option: a trade specialist that runs LSA alongside Google Ads and your Google Business Profile, a general PPC agency that charges a percentage of ad spend, or an LSA-only manager. Ask every agency the same five questions (below) and compare them on cost per booked job, not cost per lead.

Google Local Services Ads put your business at the very top of Google, above the normal ads, with the Google Verified badge. You pay per lead, not per click. Plenty of tradespeople set LSA up themselves, but the verification checks, the job types and the service areas all take time, which is why many hand it to an agency.

This guide compares the agencies that come up most often when UK trades search for LSA help, using what each one publishes on its own website (checked 24 October 2026). We are one of them, so we have tried to keep the comparison to facts you can check.

UK Local Services Ads agencies compared

Agency What they publish about fees Focus
Unavoidable Marketing (Leeds, UK wide) £499 a month, flat. No percentage of ad spend. You keep your own Google account. Rolling 30-day terms. Lead budget paid straight to Google, never marked up. See our LSA service. Trades only: LSA setup and the Google Verified badge, Google Ads judged on cost per booked job, local SEO, Google Business Profile and websites.
Brightpace (UK) 15% of monthly ad spend, minimum £400 a month. No setup fee, 30-day rolling contract. PPC agency for home services firms, running LSA alongside search ads where it fits.
Local Services Marketing (US and UK offices) No management fee published on its site. LSA-only management across many sectors in the US, UK and Europe.

Fees are management fees only. Your LSA lead costs are paid straight to Google on top, whichever agency you choose.

Percentage of spend or a flat fee?

A percentage-of-spend agency earns more when you spend more with Google. That is not automatically a bad thing, but it is worth knowing which way the incentive points. A flat fee stays the same whether your Google bill goes up or down, so the conversation is about how many jobs you booked, not how much was spent. Whichever model you prefer, ask for the total monthly cost including ad spend for your trade and area before you sign.

Five questions to ask any LSA agency

  1. Have you run LSA for my trade in my area? Ask to see real examples, not general Google Ads results.
  2. Will you handle the whole Google Verified process? That means the business checks, insurance and licence documents, and any extra checks Google asks for.
  3. Whose name is the account in? It should be your business’s account, so you keep your profile, reviews and history if you ever leave.
  4. How do you measure success? Look for cost per booked job and how many leads turned into paying work, not just the number of calls.
  5. Who keeps the job types and service areas up to date? Switching off work you do not want and areas you do not cover is what keeps lead quality high, so ask who checks it and how often.

When you do not need an agency

If you are a sole trader with time in the evenings, a tidy Google Business Profile and a few reviews, you can set LSA up yourself. Our guides to how Local Services Ads work and getting the Google Verified badge walk through it, and the free LSA eligibility checker tells you whether your trade and area qualify. An agency earns its keep when you are busy on the tools, when verification has stalled, or when you want LSA, Google Ads and your profile working together.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Local Services Ads agency cost in the UK?

Published fees vary. Brightpace charges 15% of ad spend with a £400 monthly minimum. Unavoidable Marketing charges a flat fee of £499 a month for Local Services Ads. Some LSA specialists do not publish fees. Your lead costs are paid to Google separately.

Can I run Local Services Ads without an agency?

Yes. Many sole traders do. An agency helps most when verification has stalled, when you have no time to keep job types and areas tidy, or when you want LSA working alongside Google Ads.

What should I compare agencies on?

Cost per booked job, who owns the account, who handles verification, who keeps job types and areas up to date, and the total monthly cost including ad spend.
